Florida
Atlantic's Mike McKenna was a freak
at the plate last week, blasting seven home runs with
19 RBIs over six games - all Owl wins. He began the
week by hitting a pair of homers and driving in five
against Cornell. He had three RBI one night later
against Rutgers. In FAU's opener against Middle Tennessee,
McKenna went 4-for-5 with three homeruns and seven
RBI. The senior outfielder batted .545 (12-for-22)
for the week.
The preseason All Ping! performer is batting .424
so far this season with a jaw dropping 13 homeruns
and Ruthian .891 slugging percentage to lead FAU to
a 16-6 record and a seven game win streak.

Auburn
junior reliever Bryan Woodall pitched
in all four of Auburn’s games last week, earning
a save in each of the Tiger's three wins. After earning
a save in Tuesday's win against Troy, Woodall entered
Friday's game against hot hitting Kentucky in the eighth
with two on and one out and got a ground-ball double-play
from the first batter he faced. Then in the ninth, Woodall
made like "Wild Thing" Rick Vaughn and struck
out the side in the ninth to preserve Auburn’s
2-0 win. On Saturday he pitched the ninth inning in
the Tiger’s 7-5, come-from-behind victory that
clinched the series over Kentucky. For the week, Woodall
threw four innings, allowing two hits, no runs, no walks
and striking out four.
