Woodbury of Missouri State hit a blistering
.714 (10-14) to help the Bears to their first 3-0
start since 2002. Batting from the No. 2 spot in the
order, the senior outfielder collected at least three
hits in each game, including four versus Arkansas-Little
Rock on Sunday.
The West Plains, Mo., native also led the Bears with
eight RBIs, scored five runs and was hit by a pitch
for a .733 on-base percentage. In addition, Woodbury
stole two bases in two tries, including swiping home
against UALR. His eighth-inning, two-run single against
UALR drove in the game-winning run.

DIVISION II
Last week, Daniel Ford, a junior
third baseman from Youngstown, Ohio, helped lead the
Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne to a 4-1 record including a
three-game series sweep of future South Atlantic Conference
opponent Brevard College. The junior hit an impressive
.773 with two homeruns and 14 RBI while Lenoir-Rhyne
moved to 7-8 on the year and remains 3-0 in league
play.
